L & DMRC – Club and Member layouts available for exhibitions
Although a relatively small club, its membership is active in a wide range of model railway scales and interests.
The current list of layouts, together with their details are being added progressively to this web site, as a help to exhibition managers in establishing potential invites.
Being small in number, does mean that we are limited to the number of exhibitions per year that members or club layouts can attend. The distance from our base near Liphook, on the Hampshire/West Sussex/ Surrey borders is usually restricted to a 50 miles radius.
For club layouts, club members invariably do not claim travel/mileage expenses, but the club specifies a suitable total donation to the club and these are advised against each layout. We design all our layouts to be transported in members cars so do not require van hire.
The suggested donation can only be varied, in writing, by the club secretary. For members layouts, arrangements as specified by the layout owner. If help is given by other members, the layout owner invariably makes a donation to the club.
If provisionally booking one of our layouts, please contact our secretary by phone initially (see contacts page). Written confirmations must be received by our secretary a minimum of 6 clear weeks before the event, so that all arrangements can be made at our end. We for our part, will confirm promptly, in writing the club’s acceptance.
