G0SH (Gauge 0 South Hampshire Group)

G0SH the Gauge 0 South Hampshire Group  based at Fareham & District MRC in Portchester, Hants

A group of about ten 0 gauge modellers

To us railway modelling is for fun, not rivet counting. We do the best we can to achieve a realistic impression of the prototype railway, which we can run our stock on regularly, not just at shows. We encourage each other with lots of banter, coffee & chocky biscuits.

We meet at the Fareham & District MRC clubrooms on Wednesdays between 11-00 & 15-00 & on Thursday evening (F&DMRC club night) between 20-00 & 22-00hrs, to work on our  new continuous circuit layout Middleton Junction..

We welcome visitors, but please contact us first to arrange a visit.

To join this group you also have to be a member of the Fareham & District MRC & we have a voluntary sub for each Wednesday session.

Membership of the club, which is by invitation, costs £30 per half year, payable in January & June each year. The group operates a £1 fee per Wednesday meeting attended, which is used for additional funding for the layout, over and above that contributed by the F&DMRC

The group is affiliated to the Gauge 0 Guild and reports on its activities appear in the Guild News. Most current members of the group are G0G members; membership of the Guild is encouraged, but not obligatory.
